DUTIES:

• Ability to develop and follow annual workplans with MNRF and ensure reporting requirements are fulfilled.
• Operation and navigation of boats on various lakes within the surrounding area
• Distribute commercial fishing books to member communities and keep track of the number of commercial fishermen.
• Commercial fish sampling, including the collection of species length, weight, and aging structures.
• Environmental sampling, including the collection and analyzation of water samples for quality and chemical content.
• Monitor the health of aquatic species and take samples for laboratory analysis.
• Work alongside Lake of the Woods fishermen and AKRC fisheries
• Ability to format and draft correspondence, forms, reports, and proposals and organize large amounts of data
• Communicate to the Director of Operations of any community requests or needs and ensure monthly reports are submitted.
